“TMHS is special because we are a small school that accomplishes big tasks relating to sports, music and fundraising.”Anne Nyland

What is your dream job? My dream job is to become a nutritionist. I am intrigued how food is the energy for our body to function and what a person puts into their body affects. Cooking and creating meals is one of my favorite hobbies to do. I am constantly making meals and having my friends and family try my creations.
Who was your favorite teacher or administrator during your time at TMHS? What subject did they teach? What made her or him special?
My favorite teacher is Mrs. Ten Eyck. She is the PE teacher at school but she has been my cross-country coach for years. She is special to me because she encouraged me to do my best and push myself in everything I do. This has taught me to have confidence and to be proud.
What is something about TMHS that people might not know, but should?
People might not know that having a small school is beneficial. Having a small school has given us a family instead. I have seen in the school that many are close-knit and there is a friendly face everywhere.
What advice would you give to next year’s ninth grade students coming to TMHS?
Get involved with activities and sports. This way it is an easy way to meet others that have some of the same interests as they do. Be kind to one another and do not get involved with drama.
What makes TMHS special? Why?
TMHS is special because we are a small school that accomplishes big tasks relating to sports, music and fundraising.
Anne’s teachers say…
Anne is elegant, sophisticated and a shining part of this senior class. Anne’s grace and inner beauty epitomizes what it means to be a Tourtellotte Tiger. Anne is a hard worker in all aspects of her life. She not only takes time to study and get school work done, but she puts in extra time to make sure details are given attention. She will take everything that she has learned from being a Tiger, and will keep working hard at Worcester State. She will go on and do great things and continue to make us proud.
