MRFES Friday Folders

At The Mary R. Fisher Elementary School, we respect each child as a unique individual. Our school is an environment where there is an appropriate program and place ment for each child depending on the child’s needs, abilities, learning style and rate of learning. It is our commitment to receive the child, with empathy at his/her stage of development and to guide him/her through these formative years with intelligence and compassion.

Pre-K

Mary R. Fisher has two Pre-K teachers; Mrs. Drobiak and Mrs. Wallace. We each have an AM class and we each have a PM class.

Mrs. Drobiak and Mrs. Wallace love teaching! Every day is a new adventure when working with young children. Between the two of us, we have over 18 years of experience in working with Preschool-age children. We enjoy seeing the growth students make from the beginning of the year all the way until June.

Drobiak's Family

Mrs. Drobiak and Family

Mrs. Drobiak and Mrs. Wallace both graduated from Eastern CT State University with a B.S. and both have a M.Ed. in Early Childhood/Special Education. We both have families at home and enjoy hobbies such as cooking, hiking, being outdoors and gardening.

We are very involved in keeping communication open between families; we send home weekly notes individualized to each student. We update parents on how their child did during the week. In our online Friday Folders, you can expect our monthly newsletter, as well as our wish list. We will also include any helpful resources for parents on working with children at home.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.  It is so important to keep communication open between parents and teachers. We would love to talk to you whenever you feel the need. We look forward to a great year together!
